Bobble stitch

Work designated number of incomplete dc stitches in one sc stitch to create a bobble.  This example is a bobble made with four incomplete dc stitches.


 (1) Yarn over your hook.  Insert hook in stitch, yarn over the hook and pull through the stitch.  (Three loops on the hook.)  Yarn over and pull through two loops.  (Two loops remain on the hook -- you've made one incomplete dc.) 


 (2) Yarn over your hook.  Insert hook in stitch, yarn over the hook and pull through the stitch.  (Four loops on the hook.)  Yarn over and pull through two loops.  (Three loops remain on hook-- you've made two incomplete dc stitches.) 


 (3) Yarn over your hook.  Insert hook in stitch, yarn over the hook and pull through the stitch.  (Five loops on the hook.)  Yarn over and pull through two loops.  (Four loops remain on the hook -- you've made three incomplete dc stitches.)  


 (4) Yarn over your hook.  Insert hook in stitch, yarn over the hook and pull through the stitch.  (Six loops on the hook.)  Yarn over and pull through two loops.  (Five loops remain on the hook -- you've made four incomplete dc stitches.)  Yarn over and pull through all five loops.  (Bobble completed.)
