Here's another of the new sample hats for my re-formatted patterns.
It's the Fishnet Slouchy in Charisma by Loops & Threads. The colorway is Ashes. I only have a few more patterns left to update, and I should be finished in a week or so.
Besides updating the patterns with a new format and editing according to my new style sheet, I also revisited some of the patterns with hook in hand. Over the next few posts, I'll share some of the new sample hats. This one is BeeBee, crocheted in Cozy Wool by Loops & Threads, a super-bulky weight yarn. The color is Petal Pink. I'm especially happy with those big, black buttons! I'm in the process of re-formatting my published patterns to make Page 2 a data page with sizing, yarn amounts, hook sizes, etc. A prime reason for the new format was that I wanted to sell my patterns on www.Patternfish.com, where a data page is included as one of the pattern photos. It's a handy way for people to see if they have the yarn, hooks, and so forth to start the project. Patternfish is a fresh and inviting showcase for patterns, and I'm uploading my patterns there as fast as I can re-format them. Coincidentally, in the past few years, I've sent some pattern-seekers to Patternfish. After I sold my collection of vintage Straker and Candide knitting patterns on Etsy, people would contact me to ask where they could find the Portuguese Fisherman's Pullover or another of the beloved Candide patterns, or an out-of-print Penny Straker pattern. In addition to thousands of new designs, Patternfish offers these wonderful Candide and Straker classics. I'm really happy to be there (and happy about the incentive for my new format, as well!). |
