 I took an online Craftsy embroidery class with Kristin Nicholas -- very inspiring!
Here's a Spiriferous hat to which I added some simple embroidery: a circle of blanket stitches around the center and a line of backstitches between the second and third rounds.

 Here's the new cover for the Boho Dreams collection of patterns inspired by Seventies' fashion.
I've added two more Juliet caps and a granny-stitch kerchief to the collection, which originally had two patterns: The Tiny Crown Juliet Cap & Boho Slouchy, and The Groovy Cloche. For the cover, I thought it was appropriate to choose a color scheme -- orange, green and purple -- that's quintessential '70s.  Red Heart Super Saver in Primary -- with its self-striping crayon colors -- is one of my all-time favorite yarns.
That's why I picked it for the remake of The Groovy Cloche pattern-cover hat. |
