Patons Moxie, in Racoon here, mimics the real thing in an all-polyester eyelash yarn.
I used my Fishnet Slouchy pattern for this hat, but only working to 8 in./20 cm deep. The stitch pattern lightens up the hat -- thus using less than one skein -- and the faux fur strands fill in the "fishnet."
Like many of these non-stretchy novelty yarns, this one needs elastic cording to hold in the bottom edge of the hat.
