My hats and yarn had their own room in my cottage in San Antonio. That's where shelving on three walls held bags and containers of yarn, works in progress, future pattern prototypes, finished hats, and shipping supplies.
In my new -- much smaller -- apartment in Rhode Island, I ended up stacking containers of my 300-plus hats in a corner of the living room, where I think they'll stay until the end of the busy hat season (usually sometime in March).
I need to shuffle the containers to get to the hat I want, but it's kind of fun.
So far this fall, patterns and hats made with chunky and super bulky yarn are especially popular in my Etsy shop. Perhaps this is going to be a season of Big Hats?
