This is one of those stitches I probably wouldn't have tackled on my own. (Well, without the help of a YouTube how-to video, at least.)
The instructor, Shirley Morrison, put together fabulous instructions, both written and step-by-step photos. Her written instructions were so good that I didn't need to refer to the photos.
I like the way the center square is tilting -- but that might be a mistake on my part. . . .
Though the technique was new, the yarn was all recycled: purple Donegal wool tweed, orange lambswool, and banana (Republic) cream wool that looks and feels like silk.
